The latest releases around SAP EPM 10

SAP FC 10.0 SP 19 Patch 08 > Since May 16th, 2019, this hotfix offers two application fixes for both the Windows client and the Web client. You will find the details of these corrections by clicking on the following link SAPFC SP19 Patch08. Regarding SAP FC 10.1, SAP has provided Patch 01, 02 and 03 of Support Package 08.

SAP FC 10.1 SP 8 Patch01> Released on April 30th, 2019, the Patch01 of Support Package 8 brings multiple functional, and application corrections for FC clients (HTML5 web, Windows, etc.). You will find the complete details of the support package by clicking on this link SAPFC10.1 SP8 Patch01.

SAP FC 10.1 SP 8 Patch02> Since July 03 rd, 2019, SAP has been offering the Patch 02 of the Support Package 8 for download. The patch corrects problems of large imports from the HTML5 WEB client, but also communication problems via a reverse proxy due to the SAPP FC cookie format. Regarding the Windows client, authentication by SAML2 is now supported. You will find the complete details of the patches by clicking on this link SAPFC10.1 SP8 Patch02.

SAP FC 10.1 SP 8 Patch03> Released on July 11th, 2019, Patch 03 of Support Package 8 corrects import issues from the Windows client. You will find the complete details of the patches by clicking on this link SAPFC10.1 SP8 Patch03.

CAUTION: The Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable (x86) is mandatory for the Support Package 08 Financial Consolidation 10.1. It must be installed before installing the Support Package SP08. This package can be found viahttps://www.microsoft.com/en-US/download/details.aspx?id=48145.

For ICS 10.0, there were no new patches, the last being the ICS 10.0 SP17 Patch 09 > This patch allows ICS to support Windows server 2016, MS SQL 2017. It also provides compatibility with SAP BI 4.2 SP06, as well as some application fixes that you will find by following this link SAP ICS SP17 Patch 09.

SAP FIM 10.0 SP17 Patch02 > On March 29, 2019, SAP released Support Package 02 for FIM. Three patches make up the patch 02 which you will find in detail by clicking on this link SAP FIM 10.0 SP17 Patch02.

1. Problems of displaying wrong data by using the HTML5 web client of FC10.1

Several problems of displaying wrong data are encountered by using the HTML5 web client of FC10.1 when switching between different databases. These problems are random and independent of the browser used.

There are two workarounds:

  • On the user’s computer having the problem: empty browser cache
  • Modify the parameter “CachingDimensionIds” in the file web.config of the HTML5 web site as: <add key=’CachingDimensionIds”value=””/>

To note: The parameter “CachingDimensionIds” is a list of the IDs of dimensions that will be stored in the browser cache.

The default values are these following values:

-524287;-524284; -524283; -524282; -524287; -524277; -524276; -524273; -524271;

These values correspond to the following dimensions: Category, Month Close Period, Currency, Account, Flows, Period, Audit ID, Scope, Variant, Technical Origin, Currency and Consolidation Currency.


2. Installing Flash Player on Windows Server 2016

The BFC Dashboard requires the installation of Flash Player on Windows servers. Since Windows 2012, the application brick Flash Player is disabled, and requires special actions to proceed with its installation.

Windows 2016 Server just run the following command:
